Mini Medical School
For many years, Stamford Hospital's Mini Medical School has been geared toward bringing physicians and the public together, to foster education and understanding. As part of the Mini Medical School program, staff physicians and clinicians present a series of lectures about various medical disciplines, medical issues and ethical matters.
School of Radiology
Technological advances in the medical-imaging field have kept radiographers in the forefront of quality patient care. The opportunities for radiographers are many, and can include positions in hospitals, clinics, physicians' offices and elsewhere within the medical industry. Completing Stamford Hospital's Program in Radiography can prepare you for a variety of exciting career choices - with tremendous potential for career growth and advancement.
The EMS Institute
The EMS Institute, a department in Stamford Hospital, provides emergency medical service (EMS) and critical-care training education to EMT-Bs, EMT-intermediates, paramedics, physicians, registered nurses, first responders and all allied health professionals. The EMS Institute also operates the EMT-Paramedic Program, in association with Norwalk Community Technical College.
Pastoral Education
Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) is offered as part of our department. This interfaith, professional education program gives participants an opportunity to increase their pastoral skills, theological integration and self-awareness.
